The coil materials used for pre-coating are usually galvanized steel, aluminium and cold-rolled steel sheets. Solvent-based coil coatings or hot-pressed plastic films are pre-coated and then sold to users for direct cutting and forming without painting as protective coatings. This greatly reduces the production time of finished products and reduces the re-coating of finished products. As a result, coil coatings have developed rapidly in the field of large-scale industrial products. Here we have a general understanding of solvent-based coil coatings.
In addition to the direct economic and efficient reproduction, the pre-painting of coiled steel strip is more important for beautifying, decorating and corrosion protection of the finished products, prolonging the service life of the finished products and improving the use value. Coil coatings have excellent decoration, protection and durability. Generally, coil coatings are made of polyester resins with excellent light resistance, weather resistance and impact processability, acrylate resins and fluorocarbon modified polyesters, and silicone modified polyester resins as the main materials. Crosslinkers can be selected with high weather resistance, hardness and flexibility. Methyl etherified amino resins with good properties, or aliphatic blocked isocyanate resins, have high post-processing resistance.
